FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic vaccinates 300+ cats and dogs

INDIANAPOLIS — FACE Animal Clinic provided vaccines to more than 300 cats and dogs on Saturday during a low-cost program hosted at West Montgomery Park.

Hundreds of furry friends showed up to receive their vaccinations. FACE stated that its pop-up clinics have existed since 2019 as a means of extending care and transportation to animals while also reducing issues with scheduling.

FACE chose to host its clinics on Saturdays in local Indy neighborhoods, specifically, Wes Montgomery Park and Frederick Douglas Park.

“At FACE, we go the extra mile to meet our clients and their pets in the community,” said Jen Hancock, executive director of FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic. “Preventing the unnecessary euthanasia of cats and dogs is a critical part of our mission, and vaccinations make a key difference in keeping these animals healthy. We are grateful to our supporters, funders and staff for bringing these life-saving vaccinations directly to clients who need it most.”

The clinics work to serve at least 300 animals at each event. They are operated on a first-come, first-serve basis. While there is a $5 fee per animal, there is no limit to how many animals a person can bring.

All dogs attending FACE’s low-cost animal clinics must be secured on a short leash. Cats must also be held in a steady carrier.

The next clinic is scheduled for Sept 14. For more information, check out their website.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
