Evidence shows 2 missing dogs may have been shot and killed, sheriff finds

LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) — Two missing chocolate Labrador retrievers in a rural area along the border of Boone and Clinton counties may have been shot and killed, based on evidence that the Boone County Sheriff’s Office has collected.

The Humane Society of Clinton County on Tuesday provided information to investigators after the dogs had been reported missing “over the weekend,” said a news release from the sheriff’s office.

On Friday, a search warrant was served on a Boone County property. The exact location was not disclosed in a news release issued Friday night from the sheriff’s office.

Although the evidence indicating the dogs had been shot and killed was found, the dogs’ bodies were not during Friday’s search, the release said.

“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident remains ongoing. All parties
involved are cooperating with investigators. At this time, no further updates will be provided until the
case is sent to the prosecutor for review,” the release concluded.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
