Want to give your dog the beach day of their dreams?

These dog-friendly shores offer the perfect setting for fun in the sun and surf. Just remember, responsible pet parenting ensures everyone has a paw-sitive experience.

Asbury Park Dog Beach

• Summer (May 16 to Sept. 14): Licensed dogs can be at the beach from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
• Off-season (Sept. 15 to May 15): Licensed, supervised dogs can be at the beach anytime, but not on other parts of the beach. Dogs can go on the boardwalk during this time.
• Leash rules: All dogs must be on a leash (unless in the designated off-leash area on the Asbury Park Dog Beach).

Bradley Beach

• Summer (May 16 to Sept. 30): No dogs allowed on the beach or boardwalk.
• Off-season (Oct. 1 to May 15): Dogs can be on the beach, not the boardwalk, unless crossing over.
• Leash rules: Off-leash is allowed during the off-season, but dogs need to be leashed going to and from beach.

Mantoloking beach

• Summer (May 15 to Oct. 1): Supervised dogs are allowed ont the beach from sunrise to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to sunset. However, no dogs are permitted in the North Lagoon area (adjacent to Bergen Avenue).
• Off-season (Oct. 2 to May 14): Supervised dogs are allowed on the beach and access ways.
• Leash rules: Off-leash is allowed during the off-season, but dogs need to be leashed going to and from beach.

Spring Lake beach

• Summer (May 15 to Sept. 30): Dogs are only allowed in the dog park area near Pitney Avenue between sunrise and 9 a.m., not on the boardwalk.
• Off-season (Oct. 1 to May 14): Dogs allowed on all beaches, not the boardwalk.
• Leash rules: Leash required except in the dog park area.

Wildwood Dog Park and Beach

• The dog park is open daily from 6 a.m. until dusk, and the beach is open from dawn to dusk.
• Summer (June 1 to Sept. 30): Dogs are only allowed at Glenwood Avenue dog park. They are not allowed on the boardwalk.
• Off-season (Oct. 1 to May 30): Dogs are allowed on Wildwood and Wildwood Crest beaches, and on the North Wildwood beach at any time except for when lifeguards are present. Dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk at any time.
• Leash rules: Dogs on the beach must be leashed; leashes are optional in the park.
