South Bristol, N.Y. — A severely malnourished beagle and her four puppies are receiving medical care after they were abandoned at Ontario County Park.
The Ontario County Humane Society said it found the dogs in a box in a park pavilion shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday while responding to a “distressing” report of a an abandoned dog and her puppies.
The mother was found “in a severely malnourished state” and the puppies “appeared to be in urgent need of care.”
The Ontario County Humane Society immediately seized the dogs and transported them to our shelter, where they are now receiving the necessary medical attention, nourishment, and care. Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to nurse the mother and her puppies back to health.
