The Drinking with Dogs annual summer event from Canine to Five events is wrapping up its season with its dog-friendly Halloween event at a Corktown brewery.
Canine to Five’s “Howl-o-ween Drinking with Dogs” is 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday at Batch Brewing Co. in Corktown. This is the 12th Halloween-themed Drinking with Dogs event put on by the local dog day care, boarding and grooming facility.
Canine to Five’s Drinking with Dogs events invite owners to bring their dogs to local bars and enjoy cocktails and beverages.

Drinking with Dogs events began in May and took place each month during the summer at various metro Detroit establishments. For the Halloween event, owners are encouraged to bring their dogs in costume. Dogs are required to be on a leash the whole time.
At the free-to-attend event more than 100 dogs and their owners are expected at Batch Brewing Co. There will be snacks, drinks, scary movies, and music. A pet costume contest is a highlight of the event. Batch Brewing has a covered pavilion used as an outdoor gathering spot to enjoy beer and its specialty food items
Costume winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m.

- Best dog pair
- Best dog group
- Best dog/human pair
This year, each event featured a local dog rescue organization. During the final, Halloween event, the Michigan Humane Rescue will be -n site with adoptable dogs available.
