Dream job: Help out adorable disabled dogs in Koh Samui, Thailand

The emotion of caring for these dogs is palpable in every word Sybille says: “Each dog has its own personality. Bobbles is the ‘big handsome boss’, Sophia is the ‘diva’, while Samy, one of my most difficult cases, managed to walk again against all medical odds after a complete neurological collapse. It was a tough battle, but it was worth it.”

Samy is a perfect example of the resilience Sybille admires in her animals: “He fought so hard to walk again, and it was my mission to help him along the way. He taught me to never give up, even when the odds seem impossible.”

But her passion doesn’t stop there. Sybille firmly believes that disabled dogs teach important life lessons: “These animals show you every day how resilient they are, and how love and care can make a difference. Compassion is the greatest gift a human can have, and showing empathy towards the weakest will always make the world a better place.”

Although the work is demanding, Sybille also maintains her role as a medical consultant at a clinic on the island: “I still enjoy being a doctor for people, so I work part-time at a local clinic, but my dogs are my priority.”

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
