Dozens of dogs dressed in their Halloween finest to help canines in need

PEORIA HEIGHTS (25News Now) – It was anything but a spooky Halloween party on Sunday in Peoria Heights, but it was for a good cause.

Furry friends in costumes and their owners gathered for the seventh annual Halloween Pup N’ Pints outside Pour Bros Taproom.

There was a “Bone Bar” for dogs and a costume contest. Raffle prizes were awarded with proceeds benefiting Bears Bites Foundation, which gives out medical grants for dogs in need.

Event organizer Cassie Snell, owner of Camp Bow Wow in Peoria and East Peoria said it’s a great way for families and their furry friends to enjoy the Halloween spirit.

”We just really appreciate coming out to support us, local businesses, and the local rescues, for taking the opportunity to socialize your dog and enjoy this wonderful weather. It also, gets everyone excited for Halloween,” said Snell.

She said about 50 dogs attended Sunday’s party.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
