Shopping for pet supplies can be stressful and costly, but it’s a necessary part of pet ownership. Just as important as food and veterinary care, a dog’s accessories, home decor, and clothing are essential as well. For many dog parents, the shopping never truly ends—there’s always something else that needs to be purchased!

Taking a trip to the pet store can be fun, but the best part about buying pet accessories is using them at home. Just ask Fabian! This dog dad recently bought his Goldendoodle dog an indoor dog pen to keep the pup safely out of the kitchen, but not even steel bars could stop this dog at dinnertime.

On June 4, Fabian shared a video of the pup’s great escape, which went viral overnight. No one can stop talking about this ‘hairy’ Houdini!

LOL, what a card! This inconspicuous canine simply keeps walking despite the gate trailing behind him. Maybe if he acts like everything is normal, his parents won’t notice that he found a loophole in the rules.

“It’s a mobile home,” one commenter joked. Exactly! This rule-following dog never actually left the boundaries of the pen, so technically, he’s still following the rules.

Another commenter couldn’t have been more spot-on when they said, “he realized he has free will.” Those lightweight pens are no match for most dogs! I’ve had one for my Siberian Husky for years, and he could easily jump over it if he wanted to. Fortunately, he’s just never figured it out!

“Me setting my own boundaries and then pushing them,” wrote commenter Jenny. Oof, that hits close to home!

Even our four-legged friends can’t help but test the limits of boundaries, especially their own. This Goldendoodle puppy may break the rules more often now that he’s in his chaotic stage, but it’s safe to say that he’s keeping his parents laughing and entertained despite the trouble he causes.

Besides, there are so many pet gates and dog pen options for pet parents to choose from! This mobile mutt won’t be able to take a gate with him, and some pens attach to the ground so dogs can’t escape or drag them anywhere.

There’s hope for this escape artist yet!
