Dogs walk Rockford University’s campus during Dog Days of Summer

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford University holds its second annual Dog Days of Summer event to welcome back Alumni and enjoy an early morning stroll.

On Saturday, an estimated 40 dogs and their owners visited the Nelson Alumni Center, 5050 E. State Street, to enjoy the weekend weather and stay active. Event guests could pick up trail maps, grab goodies from that The Canine Crunchery and learn about the non-profit Canine Companions.

“It’s been a nice mix,” Rockford University volunteer, Lori Walsh says. “It’s a nice time for the alumni to connect with former classmates and also meet new friends.”

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
