The Chicago Dogs got their second win in a row on Monday, defeating the Sioux City Explorers 3-2 in their first matchup of the season.
The Dogs got their first homer of the year from Jacob Teter, and the bullpen locked things down for the win.
Alex McGarry drove in a run for the second straight game with a single in the bottom of the third that scored Dusty Stroup from second. An inning later, Teter’s homer put Chicago up 3-0.
The Dogs’ John Baker threw five innings of 1-run ball. He was followed by Will Kincanon, Zach Davidson and Austin Marozas, who struck out four in two innings.
