SALT LAKE CITY – After 156 dogs were rescued from a home in Ogden, the Humane Society of Utah announced some of them are going up for adoption.
On April 15, the dogs were found in “extremely poor and overcrowded conditions,” Ogden police said, and rescued from the home.
Following their rescue, the dogs were taken to various shelters across the Wasatch Front, where they were examined and vaccinated.
On Wednesday, the Humane Society of Utah said in a Facebook post that some of the dogs rescued from the Ogden home were placed up for adoption.
“These cuties have been through a lot, and many are nervous about making new friends,” the Humane Society of Utah said. “They are going to need very special adopters who are willing to work with them and help them to become the best dogs they can be.”
The organization said the dogs vary in age and are all small mixed breeds. Due to their past living situation, the dogs will likely need to be trained, the post said.
All animals available for adoption can be found on the Humane Society of Utah’s website, where more dogs will be posted as they are ready for adoption.
