An electric scooter sparked a house fire Friday night in Tampa, forcing firefighters to rescue three dogs trapped inside.
Tampa Fire Rescue officials responded to the fire in the 1200 block of E 108th Avenue to find heavy smoke coming from one of several scooters spread around the single-story home. They moved some of the scooters to the front yard, where one caught fire and was quickly extinguished.
No people were inside at the time of the fire, but firefighters did find three dogs and removed them from the home, reuniting them with their owner. The dogs were uninjured, and no other injuries were reported.
