Dogs race to Dubois

They stop in Lander, Pinedale, and Jackson – but the last time the dogs came to Dubois was about two decades ago. However, that’s about to change.

Around West Central Wyoming, early February is often marked by growing excitement for the Pedigree Stage Stop Race. Now in its 30th year, the dog sled race was founded with a charitable goal in mind: To promote public welfare.

Race Veterinarian Laurie Dunbar of Montreal CA scanned a sled dog before the race last year on South Pass. Dunbar and two other vets randomly scan dogs the mushers have selected before the race begins to make sure only registered dogs are being used.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
