Dogs lose on Opening Day, fall to Lake Country 5-4

Despite late-game heroics from Jacob Teter, and a good evening for the bullpen, the Chicago Dogs came up just short on Opening Day, losing to the Lake Country DockHounds by a final of 5-4 at a sold-out Impact Field in Rosemont on Friday night.

After falling behind by one early, the Dogs tied things up in the bottom of the second on a two-strike RBI single from Dusty Stroup. Although they didn’t score again until the eighth inning, Connor Curlis and the bullpen kept things close, entering the eighth down 3-1.

Jacob Teter came to bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth and hit a 2-run single to right field, tying the game. Brantley Bell followed that by reaching on a dropped third strike, while the speedy Reggie Pruitt Jr. scored from third on the play. Closer Jacob DeLabio gave up the lead in the ninth, falling behind 5-4.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
