TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Helping Hands has $0 dog adoption fees with dog kennels filled.
Damon, an 11-month old pit bull mix, is among them. He joined Emi Griess from HHHS in a visit to Eye on NE Kansas.
Emi said the shelter had about a half dozen adoptions Friday. However, they took in 46 animals on Thursday.
If you’re unable to adopt, HHHS is hosting a garage sale fundraiser in their parking lot, SW 21st & Belle, on May 17. They’ll start at 8 a.m.
Also, people may continue donating to their Warm Paws Warm Hearts art auction through May 24. Bidding begins May 30.
