HENDERSON CO., Ky. (WFIE) – Two dogs are now safe and dry after finding themselves stranded by rising floodwaters in Reed, Kentucky.
The Humane Society of Henderson County says they got a call last night informing them of the situation.
First thing Friday morning, they went to work and safely rescued the dogs with help from Henderson County Rescue teams.
“We are beyond grateful for your teamwork, quick response, and bravery. It takes a village—and yesterday, this village showed up strong,” says the humane society on Facebook. “We couldn’t have done it without you!”
Team members who responded to the scene were given a shoutout on social media.
