Dogs found wandering in Saukville now available for adoption
Two dogs were found in Saukville after they had been wandering in Ozaukee County for several days
Bert and Ernie are available for adoption.Bert and Ernie were first seen on WISN.com after the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook on March 21 about the two dogs seen wandering for several days. The sheriff’s office was able to capture the dogs on March 22 and begin looking for their owners.Both dogs were brought to the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus, but no owners came forward.Now, Bert and Ernie are available for adoption together from the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus. The Humane Society says the dogs must be adopted together due to their history.Bert is 42 pounds and about 2 years old, and Ernie is 28 pounds at 4 years old.
