Being a pet owner is one of the best experiences someone could have but it’s also one of the biggest responsibilities you could have.
Animals are living beings, and there’s a proper way of handling their needs. Unfortunately, some people run into situations that leave them no choice but to do whatever they can to abandon the responsibility of being a pet owner.
Idaho Humane Society Finds Dogs Abandoned In A Crate
Idaho Humane Society shared on social media that they found two dogs abandoned in a crate on Thursday morning.
“Yesterday (Thursday) morning at 7:41 am, two dogs were abandoned inside a crate on our property,” Idaho Humane Society shared.
“These dogs are very stressed and reactive to our staff. Our team is doing everything we can to make them feel comfortable, but it is slow going, and having some history on them would make a world of difference.”
Why Would Someone Abandon These Dogs?
According to the Idaho Humane Society, the dogs, named Milo and Mali, aren’t microchipped and have no contact information. While it’s easy to see why this would infuriate dog-lovers, there are a lot of things we don’t know about the situation.
The person who abandoned these dogs could be encountering financial trouble, living in rough conditions, or a wide variety of other things that we can’t even imagine.
The silver lining is that the dogs were brought to the Idaho Humane Society versus being abandoned somewhere in the wild, so the person responsible seems to care at least a little bit. Idaho Humane Society is asking the person to come forward and they’re “not here to judge and would like to help these dogs as best” they can.
If you have info about the animals or are the person responsible, you can reach out to the Idaho Humane Society by email at aco@idahohumanesociety.org or at 208-343-3166.
