Dog’s Day Out event to offer tail wagging fun

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) – While thinking about the trips you’ll take during summer vacation, don’t forget about your furry family members.

Give your pets a field trip with Dog’s Day Out, which takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. June 8 at Meyer’s Tails Up Farm.

Pups can take a swim, sniff out hidden scents or try their paw at an obstacle course.

Meyer’s trainers and groomers will be available for questions and therapy dogs will visit, courtesy of the UW Health Caring Canine Program.

Guests will also have the chance to check out a K-9 Police Officer demonstration, provided by the Belvidere Police Department and Illinois State Police.

Cash donations can also be made, with 100% going to the Belvidere Police Department’s K-9 Unit.

All breeds and sizes of furry companions are welcome.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
