Greenway Arts Alliance is hosting its third annual dog costume contest at the Melrose Trading Post on Sunday, Oct. 27 on the main stage in the red section of the market. Last year there were over 50 amazing contestants who impressed the crowd with their amazing costumes. Many costumes were handmade, including themed floats and matching human-dog costumes.

The event will be hosted by comedian Sampson McCormick, and judged by Lisa Hernandez, the assistant principal of Fairfax High School, and Ronald Wilson of Rhinestone Master Creations.   Categories will include best handmade costume, best human/dog duo costume, best float costume and best-in-show.

The sponsors will give out amazing prizes, including one year of free admission to MTP for two, exciting cash prizes, gift certificates to local favorite restaurants, and stylish dog gifts from MTP vendors and artists. Registration is open now at melrosetradingpost.org/mtpdogs.

Melrose Trading Post is located at Fairfax High School, 7850 Melrose Ave.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
