Dogs caught on camera killing family’s cat in Fresno captured

Two dogs that were caught on camera mauling a family cat to death on their front yard in Fresno are now in possession of Animal Control.

Jeannie Adams shared the story with FOX26 last week about the tragic death of her cat Olive.

Adams said she was heartbroken to find out that Olive had been killed on Tuesday.

She found it unusual that Olive was not around that morning. “Come to find her in my front yard dead,” she said. “Something happened to her. We looked at the Ring camera and she’d been mauled by these two dogs.”

She says it could have been prevented if those dogs were caught when people first reported them.

“It’s been going on for a month and a half to two months in our neighborhood and I had no idea,” she said.

She only found that out after posting what had happened on the Nextdoor app.

She says neighbors told her it wasn’t the first time these dogs had been spotted in the area killing other cats.

“I guess I’m the only one with some footage. A lot of people were saying that they had called the cops, they called the Animal Control, and if there’s no evidence, they’re saying call back when they’re actively attacking,” she said.

She says she made a report to Fresno’s Animal Control but they couldn’t catch them.

Then on Tuesday, City of Fresno Communications Director Sontaya Rose confirmed both dogs had been captured.

One was captured by Animal Control Monday night, but the other one, a Belgian Malinois, was too fast.

Animal Control set a trap and the second dog was captured Tuesday morning.

Rose says the community was instrumental in their capture because of all the tips that were called in as to their whereabouts.

She says the dogs traveled from Highland all the way to Peach, which is over 5 miles.

Both animals are currently at Fresno Animal Center.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
