MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis Animal Services has confirmed that the dog from the viral video is now in their custody.
The dog is receiving treatment for her injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
Speaking in a social media update, the staff said, “We are grateful for the swift response and collaboration between the public, our officers, and MPD to ensure the animal’s safety.”
A warrant has been issued for the man shown beating the dog in the video.
