Dog owner sparks outrage over shocking act in video

An Aussie dog walker who filmed himself deliberately dropping a client’s pet Doodle on the ground has been slammed by viewers over the sickening act.

Ryan, who runs a dog walking business called Luna Moon’s Pet Care on the Gold Coast, was taking the pooch for a walk a few weeks ago.

He recorded a video, which has since been deleted, expressing his disdain for the dog breed, while he was holding the Doodle in his arm.

‘What’s wrong with Doodles? Apart from f*****g everything,’ he said.

The business owner then released the pooch from his grip before the dog fell to the ground.

The clip quickly went viral and sparked outrage from Aussies including the dog owner who accused Ryan of not doing his job properly.

‘What a disgusting way to treat my dog, pay for your services just for you to bash my dog online. Great business model,’ he wrote.

Ryan hit back at the comments and asked the owner why he seemed to be bothered by what he thought was a seemingly harmless act.

‘Your dog? Can you please explain the problem here?’ he asked.

The dog owner accused Ryan of dropping the Doodle twice ‘from five feet’ high and urged him not to speak disparagingly of certain dogs just because he doesn’t like the way they are bred.

‘Whether you agree with the breeding of them or not, you need to realise there’s people that are affected by you talking negatively about their dog,’ they wrote.

‘Very disappointed’.

Ryan apologised for what happened in a separate video posted to TikTok.

Despite the apology, many pet owners were unimpressed by the way he treated the Doodle.

‘Shouldn’t be dropping any animal regardless of breed,’ one wrote.

‘Your behaviour towards a client’s dog was absolutely vile,’ another wrote.

‘If that were my dog, you would be physically incapable of continuing this business you’re running,’ a third added.

Others leapt to his defence and acknowledged his apology and that he had learnt from his mistake.

‘You’re all acting like he dropped the dog from a balcony, he has admitted he f*****d up, now move on with your lives,’ one wrote.

Ryan told Daily Mail Australia he regrets his actions and said he ‘made a huge mistake’.

‘I dropped the dog from a height that was higher than I should have whilst making a bad tasted video,’ he said.

He explained the video wasn’t about the dog, but the clip was being critical of the unethical breeding practices of Doodles.

He said the client informed him they no longer wanted him to walk their dog and dismissed suggestions there was any malice involved in filming the video.

‘I made a video in response downplaying the height that I dropped the dog from, which is not what I should have done. I took the video down,’ Ryan said.

He said he also offered to pay for any injuries the dog may have sustained after he was informed by someone else that its owner had taken the Doodle to the vet.

Daily Mail understands the RSPCA received complaints about the incident and informed Ryan they weren’t concerned about his activities.

It is understood an official monitored Ryan’s work before he was asked to post another video on social media to explain that the RSPCA had spoken to him.

Daily Mail Australia contacted the RSPCA for further comment.

Pet enthusiasts have mixed feelings about Doodles, which are a cross breed between a Poodle and other dogs such as a Golden Retriever, Labrador and Cocker Spaniels.

The popularity of the pooch has led to the controversial rise of unethical breeding of the pets.

The move has been consistently criticised as it risks the health and temperament of dogs by interfering with their genetics and also affects their physical characteristics.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
