Do you remember the friend who constantly spilled his milk in the cafeteria? He was also the one that convinced your junior high posse to ride your gym bags down the bleachers at the homecoming basketball game as soon as Myrtle Dinglefink started singing the national anthem. Well, we think your childhood friend has found his way to the dog shelter. He calls himself KJ. He’s a little A.D.D., and a LOT of fun.
KJ still has that infectious smile. He’s still up to shenanigans. At a recent adoption event, he kept his audience laughing at his hotdog antics. Because it’s much more fun to taunt new foods instead of try them. In KJ’s world, anything can be a prop for entertainment.
One would think that the feelings of others may get lost in KJ’s lively orbit. Not so. Once, he tried multiple times to play with Dixie Ann on a walk together. She was disinterested. After KJ’s third attempt at convincing her to interact, he finally read the room and resigned himself to a boring walk.
KJ says his stay at the shelter is like trying to study for a spelling test during detention when he can hear Eddie butchering the clarinet next door and see his two best friends nailing the nerdy twins at dodge ball right outside the window.
