Dog of the Week: Helen

Helen is the epitome of a best friend – the one who tells you that you are beautiful, the one who tags along to events in which she has no interest, the one who advises you to dump the boyfriend who gifted you a pink laundry hamper for your birthday. She is the voice of reason.

What we love most about Helen is her aversion to drama. She appreciates the company of doggy companions provided they have a decorous play style. However, we did observe one exception to this norm. It came from a certain, large, wolfish looking, (and let’s face it) very dreamy male. Maybe it was the festive environment of an adoption event, but Helen dropped all pretenses and flirted shamelessly.

The companion Helen arrived with was adopted. The wolfish stud muffin was adopted, too. Helen is by herself surrounded by what she dislikes most – drama. We would love to get this sensible, peace loving lady into a home. Please call The Athens County Dog Shelter at 740-593-5415 to meet this lovely lady. Or consider fostering her. The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
