Dog injured, man arrested in connection to house fire in Riverside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A dog with injuries was rescued and a man was arrested in connection to a house fire in Riverside on Sunday.

Tracy Russell, who lives nearby, said at around 7 a.m., she walked by to feed the stray cats that live under the house that caught on fire.

Russell said that’s when she found the dog sitting against a barbed wire fence behind the house.

“If I wasn’t going to feed the stray cats behind the house, I honestly would have never known that she was there in the first place,” Russell said.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded to the fire early Sunday morning and a nearby resident caught the large fire on camera.

The dog had visible burns on the side of its mouth and soot and plastic burns on its body.

A man was arrested in connection to the house fire.

This is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
