Dogs are known to be proponents of routine and stability, so when the smallest of changes like rearranging furniture gets thrown their way, they become confused.
That’s what happened with TikTok user @samandfamg’s dog after the owner decided to rearrange the home’s furniture. The owner thought if she kept the dog’s kennel visible in the same room and told him where it was, he could still find it. However, that was not the case.
The owner reposted a throwback clip on October 4 of her dog’s reaction to his home’s rearrangement. She asked him to go to his kennel and he immediately listened, proudly walking to the exact spot where he previously found his bed. Instead of his kennel, he was met with an empty area. There was a desk next to where his kennel used to be, but the dog was more concerned with the emptiness.
Confused, he circled the spot again and again. He started to think his bedroom vanished out of thin air. The owner panned the camera to where she moved the kennel and it’s still in the same room, just on the opposite side. It might not seem like a big move, but to a dog, it might as well have been in a separate home.

The owner told Newsweek via TikTok it took the dog awhile to realize where his kennel was moved, which is why she started recording. She couldn’t believe he hadn’t picked up on the kennel’s relocation.
“I started recording because even after I showed him a couple of times and he went in it, he still kept going to the original spot,” she said.
It took her dog about a month to fully register that his bed wasn’t gone. It was simply relocated.

The TikTok clip brought in over 471,100 views, 42,600 likes and 99 comments as of Thursday. While people were cracking up over his reaction, some immediately came to his defense.
“Clearly, the cage move was not approved by management,” a viewer said.
One user pointed out: “How dare you! Imagine if someone just moved your whole bedroom. Lol.”
Others wrote what they thought was going through the dog’s mind: “I swear I left it right here.”
Another added: “He said, ‘I am trying mom, but I am lost.'”
