Animal incident, Windwood Lane
A resident called police at 8:20 p.m. July 28 to report her aunt’s dog attacked by her neighbor’s dog. The caller said she was in her yard with her German shepherd and her aunt’s two French bulldogs – with all three dogs on leashes – when her neighbor accidentally let her dog out without a leash. One of the smaller dogs was attacked but uninjured before the dogs could be separated. Police were unable to contact the neighbor at the time of the report.
Impaired driver, Center Road
Officers on patrol at 2:05 a.m. July 28 saw a driver strike a rock in front of a gas station and get partially stuck upon it. The driver freed his vehicle from the rock and drove away and police stopped him a short distance later. The man showed signs of impairment and refused to take a breath test. He was cited for driving a motor vehicle while impaired and failure to control and was released to his girlfriend.
Theft, Sleepy Hollow Road
A man reported the catalytic converter stolen from his 2000 Ford F150 July 18-25. There was no evidence or suspects at the time of the report. Police estimated the replacement of the catalytic converter would cost $350.
