NAUGATUCK, CT (WFSB) – A dog was found alone on a road in Naugatuck on June 3rd.
Naugatuck Animal Control says that the dog was found off Great Hill Road by Schildgen Pond.
The dog was rushed to Central Veterinary Hospital for signs of heat stroke and other medical concerns. He has made a recovery and has been released into the custody of Animal Control.
The dog, a male, is estimated to be about eight months to a year old. He showed signs of neglect, such as being underweight and having severe skin infections.
Desmond’s Army is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.
The dog is described as extremely living, well behaved, gentle, and eager to please.
