Dog attack leads to arrest of owner after multiple injuries in Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, Texas — A dog attack left multiple people injured, and the dog’s owner was arrested after he recovered.

Around 4:30 p.m. on March 3, 2025, a Pitbull attacked multiple people at the intersection of Smith and White Streets left several individuals seriously injured, prompting an investigation that has now led to the arrest of the dog’s owner.

A 22-year-old woman was bitten several times, and her father, who witnessed the attack, was also injured while trying to protect her. He suffered multiple bites and a fractured shoulder.

The dog’s owner, a 56-year-old man from Pleasanton, attempted to intervene but was also attacked, sustaining serious injuries that required a prolonged hospital stay.

Following a thorough investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the owner. Once he was released from the hospital and deemed medically stable, he was informed of the pending charges.

Earlier today, the suspect voluntarily surrendered at the Atascosa County Jail. He is now facing charges related to the dog attack that occurred on March 3.
