Three dogs have been seized after an attack at a playing field in Devon led to a dog being euthanised, police said.
In a post on social media, police in Exeter said officers were called to Exwick Playing Fields on 21 December after dogs and people suffered injuries which required hospital treatment.
Devon and Cornwall Police said “at least one” dog had been euthanised due to the “severity of their injuries”.
Officers have issued an appeal to find the owner of a second dog which they believed could have also been euthanised due to its injuries.
They said the seized dogs would be “retained and cared for by police whilst the investigation continues”.
The force has asked anybody with information to get in contact.
