Dog adoption event in Colorado Springs for “Clear the Shelters” day

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The San Luis Valley Animal Rescue Society plans to host an adoption event in Colorado Springs for “Clear the Shelters” day.

The no-kill animal rescue is located in Alamosa, but they plan to host their on-site adoption event at a Colorado Springs Petco at 9690 Prominent Point. They said they will be at the Petco with available dogs on site on Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Clear the Shelters” day is a campaign to raise awareness for animals in shelters and it help them find their homes. The shelter said it has helped rescue more than one million animals since 2015.

The San Luis Valley Animal Rescue Society said they’ve rescued more than 10,000 dogs since 2003, and they host year-round pet adoption days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday at different Colorado Springs Petco and Petsmart locations to help even more animals find their homes.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
