Dock-diving dogs from North Dakota competing in world championships

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KMOT) – Some high-flying canines from the Peace Garden State are competing against dogs from around the world this week to see who can jump the “fur-thest.”

Several teams from North Dakota made the trip to Iowa for the world championships.

The teams compete in a myriad of skills, including dueling, iron dog, speed retrieve, big air, extreme vertical and more.

Three members of team North Dakota qualified for Thursday’s finals in the dueling competition. They are:

  • Brody Wolff and Bexley, from Burlington
  • Alisha Schlink and Ava, from Osnabrock
  • Amynda Behm and Tansy, from Minot

The finals will be live-streamed for free. You can watch and cheer on North Dakota’s teams on the organization’s Facebook page.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
