Do you know me? Some dogs evacuated from the Park Fire haven’t been picked up

Many residents and their animals were evacuated from the Park Fire. Now evacuations are being lifted, and some pets have not been brought back home.

The Butte Humane Society (BHS) put out a Facebook post highlighting some of their shelter animals, and the SPCA’s shelter animals who still have not been claimed. BHS said these animals had been waiting for their owners at the temporary shelter for at least a week.

These dogs will be held at their facility for seven days (beyond the legal hold period according to BHS) before becoming adoptable. BHS said it’s their mission to reunite them with their families before that time is up on Friday, Aug. 16.

Dogs evacuated from the Park Fire may be at theDel Oro Emergency Animal Shelter or with the Butte Humane Society in Chico. Northwest SPCA can be contacted by phone at530-533-7636 or on their website.

The Butte Humane Society is asking everyone who had pets evacuated, “if one of these dogs is yours, please contact us even if you cannot pick them up today.” You can reach them at(530) 343-7917.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
