
MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Louisiana Tech baseball finished out Easter weekend with a Saturday win over Liberty to give the Dogs a 2-1 series win over the Flames.
With the win, Tech is 10-4 in conference play and currently sit in 2nd place, one game back of first.
West Monroe’s Trey Hawsey was the MVP of the series according to head coach Lane Burroughs. Hawsey hit a 2-run rbi double to tie game 1 at 6, and then hit a 2-run homer in game three to start the scoring. The former Rebel in April is hitting .483 (14-29), 4 HR, 3 doubles, 8 RBIs.
