RUSTON, La. (KNOE) – The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs took down Florida International in a 5-3 thriller on April 4.
The Bulldogs were trailing 3-2 early in the game, but pitcher Logan Forsythe came out of the bullpen and racked up 6 strikeouts to help keep the Dogs in the game.
The game was tied up 3-3 going into the ninth, and catcher Matt Houston was able to hose down a runner at 2nd base, changing the momentum of the inning.
In the bottom of the ninth with two outs, Sebastian Mexico came up to the plate and took one deep to win it 5-3.
