RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech Baseball head coach Lane Burroughs announced Thursday the 2025 baseball schedule, a 56-game slate that officially kicks off Feb. 14, 2025, when the Bulldogs begin a four-game series against the Maine Bears at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.
The Diamond Dogs 2025 schedule includes seven teams from the 2024 NCAA Regional. Southern Miss, Grambling, Nicholls, Oklahoma, LSU, UL-Lafayette, and CUSA foe Dallas Baptist all punched tickets to a 2024 NCAA Regional.
The matchup between LA Tech and Oklahoma will be the first time the two teams have played in over 30 years, dating back to 1993. It will be the first time since 2018 that LA Tech and Grambling will face one another in Ruston. LA Tech and South Alabama have not competed against each other since 2001.
LA Tech will open CUSA play on the road against Sam Houston and will host Kennesaw State, a new CUSA opponent, in the Love Shack. The Bulldogs will also host CUSA opponents FIU, Liberty, Dallas Baptist, and New Mexico State at home for the 2025 season.
Louisiana Tech finished 2024 with a 46-19 record while being named CUSA Regular Season Champions and securing a trip to an NCAA Regional. The Diamond Dogs went 30-7 at home in the 2024 season, one of just five teams in the country with 30+ home wins. The 30 home wins were also the most in the Love Shack since 1988.
