Dog walkers have been urged to take care near sheep in part of north Devon during lambing season.
Torridge District Council issued the warning in relation to a flock of sheep grazing at Northam Burrows Country Park in Northam, near Bideford.
Stress caused by dogs chasing or attacking sheep – known as sheep worrying – could cause pregnant ewes to abort, the council said.
The council said sheep worrying was a criminal offence and dog owners should keep their pets under control when visiting the park.
