Dauphin County man accused of killing pet dog in rural Pa.

RENOVO — A Dauphin County man has been accused of shooting a pet dog in rural Pennsylvania and dumping the remains near his home in Hummelstown.

Robert J. Wallish III, 54, was arraigned Friday in Clinton County on charges of aggravated cruelty to animals, tampering with evidence and abuse of corpse. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

The charges stem from the Dec. 16 shooting of an 11-year-old yellow Labrador retriever in Noyes Twp. in western Clinton County belonging to Andrew and Alyssa Gavlock. The following is taken from the arrest affidavit:
