DARKHORSE DOGS: Woman Dumps Two Dogs In Trash Bag At Tunica County Gas Station

A woman was seen by witnesses allegedly doing the unthinkable and dumping a trash bag with two small dogs inside at a gas station.

Late in the evening, a witness said they saw a woman pull into a gas station in Tunica County, toss a garbage bag out of her car window, and speed away.

The man said he initially thought it was trash but then noticed the bag was moving.

He rushed over to open the bag and discovered two small, terrified dogs inside.

The man knew he wasn’t able to care for the dogs, so he called the Tunica Humane Society.

They arranged to pick the dogs up in the morning, and the man and his family lovingly cared for the dogs until they arrived.

The Tunica Humane Society said when they arrived to get the dogs the family was still cuddling and soothing the dogs.

The dogs were lovingly named Mario and Louisa and taken to the vet for care.

Tunica Humane Society said after taking them to their vet, Dr. Lisa, they learned this about the dogs:

Mario is about 10 years old, weighs weighs 6 lbs and is almost blind from cataracts. He can still see a little bit, despite this condition. He has lost most of his teeth and will likely have to get the remaining teeth removed. His sweet little tongue falls out of his mouth at time.

Thankfully he doesn’t have heartworms, but he doe shave hair loss, likely from fleas. He is happy and so sweet and loves to sit in your lap.

Lisa is probably 5-6 years old and weighs 14 pounds. She loves to be held and is also heartworm negative! She is very bonded to her sibling, or possibly father, Mario.

The Tunica Humane Society said,

“How any human could hurt these precious little dogs is beyond our imagination. They are so tiny, so innocent, so sweet, so loving…there is no way in Hell they will ever be mistreated again. We are going to find them the home of their dreams.”

Several days after the incident, the Tunica Humane Society posted that the two dogs had already been adopted by one of their supporters in New York! The family who adopted them is known to spoil their rescues and give them the best of care.

Thanks to the man who noticed these precious babies being tossed from a vehicle, the Tunica Humane Society for helping them and getting them vet care, and their new home in New York for giving them the spoiled life they deserve!

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
