The Danville Fire Department was called on Friday, November 1 at 8:20 a.m. to 1203 Saratoga Dr. for the report of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke conditions and fire coming from the rear of the residence.
One occupant and two dogs were reported as being safely clear of the residence. Crews encountered fire in a bedroom in the southeast corner of the residence with elevated levels of heat and dense smoke conditions.
A second alarm assignment was made, bringing an additional seven off-duty personnel in to assist. The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished.
A total of two occupants and two dogs were displaced because of the fire.
The Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced individuals.
The fire resulted in an estimated loss of $15,500.
Danville Fire Investigators currently have the fire origin and cause of this fire listed as undetermined. Further investigation continues.
