According to court documents, Mytoka Petry was attacked and mauled by two dogs after visiting her brother at his apartment, and walking down a trail past an encampment.

Petry’s brother ran to the scene when he heard her screaming and broke up the attack while armed with a hammer.

Petry had to have her left arm amputated and also lost her left ear. She also lost part of her lips due to the attack, along with a myriad of other serious injuries.

Hospital staff had to perform CPR at the hospital to restart her heartbeat, according to court documents.

Cierra Graham came forward and said she was the owner of the dogs.

She wasn’t at the camp at the time, but admitted to officers she usually tries to chain them up if she leaves the camp.

When asked if they had attacked people before, she told police no, but they unsuccessfully had tried to attack in the past.

Detectives interviewed Petry in October 2024 who said she was aware of dogs at the camp and that they were never leashed.

She told police she was walking past when the dogs suddenly attacked. She described them as being in a frenzy and she was pulled to the ground. She said she heard her friend say “oh my god,” and heard more yelling before she lost consciousness.

The other suspect, Alexandria Hendon, contacted Multnomah County Animal Control in October 2024. She said she owned three of the dogs involved in the attack.

KATU has learned an arrest warrant was issued Friday for Hendon and Graham. Hendon was booked Sunday night on the charges and is due in court Monday at 2 p.m. on five misdemeanor charges and a new burglary charge according to jail records.

Graham has not yet been arrested. This is a developing story.

The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
