Crews swiftly extinguished a kitchen fire at a single-family residence in Linda Vista Wednesday, authorities said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at 6635 Manning St. around 2:45 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
“Nobody was home and fire crews knocked the fire down in about 15 minutes,” SDFRD Battalion Chief Jeff Mitchell said. “They also rescued three dogs who were unharmed.”
Mitchell said the blaze was believed to have been caused by unattended cooking left in the kitchen.
The SDFD confirmed that 36 personnel, including six engines, two trucks, one medic and an ambulance, responded to the fire.
Damage estimates were not immediately available.
