Crew rescues dog from well

MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) – Crews rescued a dog last night that had fallen into a dry well in Menomonie.

According to the Menomonie Fire Department, the dog’s owners called the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office at 8:50 p.m. to report that Rip had fallen into a well near their home on County Road BB. The sheriff’s office then called the fire department for help.

Crews arrived to find that Rip had fallen into a 30-foot deep, 3-foot wide dry well.

A firefighter was lowered head-first into the well where he found Rip, who had no injuries. Rip was then placed in a sling and lifted to safety, happily reuniting with his owner.

(Story continues after the break.)

The rescue was completed by 10 p.m.

Even though Rip seems fine, his owners plan to take him to get checked out just to be safe.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
