Corn Dogs vs WarDogs baseball exhibition game coming to Crown Point

July 18 game will help support veterans with PTSD

CROWN POINT, Ind. (July 17, 2024) – The Lake County Corn Dogs will take a break from their usual summer college baseball schedule on Thursday to host a unique exhibition game.

The Corn Dogs will host the U.S. Military WarDogs, a traveling team of active-duty service members, at 7 p.m. at Legacy Fields, 851 Center Ross Rd. in Crown Point.

According to a news release from the Corn Dogs, the WarDogs “use baseball as a resource to bring awareness to veterans with PTSD and to honor the families of fallen soldiers.”

Corn Dogs majority owner Ralph Flores said a portion of the gate receipts will be donated to the WarDogs’ outreach efforts.

Tickets cost $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under and are available at corndogsbaseball.com/tickets and at the gate.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
