Multiyear deal highlights fashion and self-expression in women’s basketball
Coach and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) have entered a multiyear partnership, with Coach named the league’s official handbag partner. The collaboration merges the worlds of basketball and fashion, spotlighting both brands’ shared commitment to individuality and self-expression. It aligns closely with Coach’s “Courage to Be Real” platform, which emphasizes embracing authenticity and personal style.
The partnership will debut at the 2025 WNBA Draft, taking place April 14 at The Shed in New York City, where Coach will sponsor the Orange Carpet event welcoming the league’s new rookies. It will also highlight a lineup of rising stars known for blending standout performance with fashion-forward flair: Paige Bueckers, Hailey Van Lith, Aneesah Morrow, Kiki Iriafen, and Sonia Citron.
As part of the broader initiative, Coach will become the presenting partner of WNBA Pride, the league’s long-standing celebration of LGBTQ+ athletes and fans. This includes a third season of the “Pride Is Love” content series, which will be available through the WNBA App.
The partnership will continue to be visible throughout the season at major league moments, including the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025 event in Indianapolis, where Coach will serve as an associate partner. From the draft to Pride activations and beyond, the deal positions Coach as a key lifestyle collaborator at the intersection of sport, fashion, and culture.
