A FIGHT BETWEEN ANIMALS LED CLEVELAND COUNTY DEPUTIES TO A RURAL RESIDENCE BACK IN FEBRUARY. WHAT THEY FOUND ANYWHERE BETWEEN 20 AND 30 SOME ODD DOGS WERE GOING TO BE OUT THERE AT ANY TIME. DOZENS OF DOGS, THEY SAY, WERE BEING ABUSED. THEY SAY THE DOGS WERE INJURED AND DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH WATER. SOME OF THEM DID HAVE SOME SOME SCARRING AND SOME CUTS ON THEM. IT APPEARED THEY HAD BEEN EITHER FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER OR WITH OTHER ANIMALS. AFTER WEEKS OF INVESTIGATING THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY, ANGELA WIMBERLEY, WAS ARRESTED EARLIER THIS MONTH. SINCE THEN, HER 30 DOGS HAVE BEEN UNDER THE WATCH OF THE CLEVELAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT. HOWEVER, REST ASSURED, WE’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE LAST MONTH OR TWO TRYING TO FIND ALL THESE DIFFERENT ANIMAL RESCUES THAT WOULD COME AND TAKE 25 OR 30 DOGS IN. THE OFFICERS HAVE STRUGGLED TO FIND THE PUPS A HOME BECAUSE OF SHELTER OVERCROWDING. UNTIL TODAY, AND AS OF TODAY, WE DID GET IN TOUCH WITH ONE FRIENDS OF NOBLE WHO ARE WILLING TO COME OUT AND AND ROUND UP THE DOGS. FRIENDS OF NOBLE, A LOCALLY OWNED CHARITY, HAS STEPPED UP TO TAKE IN ALL 30 DOGS, A COST MANY IN THE METRO WERE UNABLE TO TAKE ON. IF YOU HAVE ONE ANIMAL AT HOME, MULTIPLY IT BY 25 OR 30 MORE. Friends of Noble, a local charity, has taken in 30 abused dogs found on a Cleveland County property after deputies’ efforts to find them homes.
