CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne Animal Shelter is running its “Clear the Kennels” adoption event, waiving all adoption fees for adult dogs until Nov. 17. Through this promotion, the shelter aims to help adult dogs find new homes while easing adoption costs for families.
“Our shelter is filled with incredible dogs just waiting for a chance at a forever home,” Niki Harrison, director of development at the shelter stated. “By waiving the adoption fees, we’re hoping to reduce barriers and make it easier for families to find their perfect match.”
The shelter currently houses a variety of adult dogs, all aged one year or older, each spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. The shelter encourages potential adopters to consider the advantages of adopting an adult dog, noting that many of these animals come with basic training and fully developed personalities, making their adjustment to new homes smoother.

“Clearing the kennels means finding loving homes for dogs who’ve been waiting for their second chance,” Harrison added. “We’re encouraging everyone to visit, meet our dogs, and help us make room for others in need.”
