Christmas came early for the dogs at the Terre Haute Humane Society

The shelter’s dogs got to choose their own Christmas gift from a pile of donated toys.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Tails were wagging at the Terre Haute Humane Society as the shelter’s dogs got to choose their own Christmas gifts from a pile of donated toys.

The shelter staff piled all the toys in the middle of the room. Then, one by one, the dogs were let out to pick their favorite toy.

The shelter’s volunteer coordinator says this special event is all about making the dog’s Christmas a little bit brighter.

“Especially at Christmas time, everybody wants to spoil your loved ones and that includes the 4-legged ones. So we just thought it would be nice to treat some of them,” said Maggie Wheeler, Terre Haute Humane Society.

The heartwarming event also provides a delightful glimpse into some of the dogs that are currently available for adoption.

The Favicon for the website, dogsandpurses(dot)com, features an all-black background with a minimalist line drawing of a puppy's head poking out of a stylish purse. The puppy's head is drawn with a cute and friendly expression, making it the focal point of the design. The purse, which the puppy is emerging from, is depicted with clean, elegant lines. The contrast between the black background and the white line drawing creates a striking and modern look for the Favicon.
