Child Rapes, Abandoned Dogs: Lower Bucks News

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Six dogs were adandoned at a Morrisville park. Meanwhile, two rapes of underaged girls took place in Bristol Township and Tullytown.

These were some of the stories making news in Lower Bucks County this past week:

A Bristol Township man has been convicted of repeatedly raping a girl when she was between the ages of 9 and 12, authorities said. Gerald Lee Roberts, 61, was found guilty Tuesday of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, and indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age. He will be sentenced by Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr on Nov. 22. (Read More On Patch)

The Morrisville Borough Police Department has provided new details about six dogs abandoned at a dog park over the weekend. Morrisville Police responded to the Morrisville Dog Park at 7:13 a.m. Saturday for a report of six abandoned puppies. (Read More On Patch)

Two troubled Lower Bucks railroad crossings are among three chosen in the state for a safety study, legislators said. The Woodbourne Train Station and the railroad crossing have been impacted by blocked crossings and the idling of CSX trains. (Read More On Patch)

An 18-year-old Levittown man has been charged following a child rape and sexual assault investigation by Tullytown Borough Police and the Bucks County Detectives, court records state. Isaiah “Zay” Oliver, 18, told the 13-year-old girl after allegedly raping her that he would “get his gun from his home and kill her” if she said anything. He then forced her to perform oral sex on him, the affidavit said. (Read More On Patch)
